Atlanta Vendors Hit By COVID-19 Pandemic Pay For Frontline Worker's Wedding

Dozens of Atlanta vendors came together to give a frontline worker her dream wedding.

The incredible ceremony and reception came at no cost to the bride and groom.

Nikita Horton works at a local hospital, and area vendors who were determined to give back to frontline workers selected her and her fiancé, Andre Archer, to cover their almost-six-figure wedding.

Horton and Archer tied the knot on January 17, Fox 5 Atlanta reported Monday (January 25).

The wedding comes several months after the team of vendors began to seek a couple who had to postpone wedding plans because of the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly with frontline workers in mind, the station noted.

Courtney Laramore, who owns Miss Milly’s Event Rental and Design, came up with the idea to band together with fellow vendors, and credited those on board for their eagerness to give back.

"Every single one of these vendors has struggled in the past year to keep their doors open, but no one hesitated to jump on this opportunity to help someone out," she said.

Archer and Horton expressed their appreciation for the vendors' generosity.

"We can’t say thank you enough," Archer said. "We are really grateful and honored that you all gave this chance and chose us."
