A North Carolina woman is facing charges after she was caught on video threatening students and hurling racial slurs on a school bus.
According to WTVR, 35-year-old Samantha Spoor was arrested last week on charges of communicating threats, trespassing, and disordering conduct.
Spoor's arrest stems from an incident on May 15, when she boarded a Currituck County Schools bus.
Video shows Spoor hurling explicit language at the students and using the N-word. According to an arrest warrant, Spoor threatened to "physically injure the person of multiple children" on the bus, yelling "I will f*** you up" while pointing at the students.
The bus driver said Spoor encountered the children after she opened the door to let some of them off at their stop. Spoor "marches on there cussing everyone out, threatening to beat these kids a**. Saying racial slurs several times," the driver said of the incident in a statement.
Spoor said her son, who attends Moyock Middle School, was allegedly being bullied. Prior to last week's incident, Spoor claimed she had previously approached the school's principal and the district's transportation department about the alleged bullying.
Moments before she got on the bus, Spoor alleged that kids were kicking her son.
"I wouldn't use the same language. But I'd do it all over again to protect my kid," Spoor said, claiming her comments to the students weren't racially motivated.
Spoor is currently out on a $2,000 bond. Her court hearing is set for June 27.
